Help need care sheets to help care for hatchling pictus gecko.

kyla123 Jul 10, 2003 10:21 AM

Hi I work at a pet store and a while ago our female pictus gecko laid two eggs. I was told they would not hatch bot I buried the eggs under the sand anyways. So yesterday I went in to work and saw the adult geckos chasing somthing. It was a baby! they had already gotten his tail so I rescued him and took it home so It can have more one on one care. only I have never raised a hatchling gecko and am somewhat lost in what to do because i am having trouble finding care sheets for hatchlings.
thank you for your help.

hello, my son has raised pictus geckos for some time. His user name is either thevidiot85 or vidiot85 (i'm not sure which). You can maybe find him on an earlier post here or maybe he'll check the board later this weekend. In the meantime.... try the following link.

pictus hatchlings are very hardy. keep them warm, 80-90 degrees, and in a few days he will shed. He'll eat his shed and then you can put a couple of small small small crickets in his cage. If he makes it the first week he'll be fine.
