i have never had a problem with my snakes being agressive during a shead, but i handle my snakes alot and they are used to it... i am guessing that your snake is young and not used to being handled... you might pit a shirt that you have worn in the cage with the snake so it gets used to youe scent... and then take it our after a day or so...

hope this helped.

she is about a year old and we were handleing her alot as she is new and very cool to show off. She was some what flighty when you first got her out but soon calmed down. Now she just gets really tense and just looks as if she is going to strike all the time she never clams and we are afraid to turn her head loose at this time as we believe she would bite again. just wondering what your exp. has been.

i would try the shirt in the cage idea for a day and see if that helps out...

keep in mind... your yur scared the snake knows it... and will naturally become more responsive...

good luck

you should probably ease off the handling too, its likely stressing thwe snake out, causing it lash out. let her settle in a little bit for a week or two, then start handling her. changing homes, topped off by suddenly not being able to see (while in shed) is very scarey, being lugged out and passed around is likely the last straw.
