sexing deserts

does anyone know how to sex a desert iguana,my two are pretty different in size(one's about 3 inches smaller then the other) would size be something good to go on?and is there a better way to sex besides size?any input would be appreciated!

males have larger and more angular heads, larger femoral pores, hemipenal bulges on bottom of tail right behind vent. Both sexes bob and posture. sex differences do not become apparent until about 7-9 months
