Snake Measurement

jayman21 Apr 09, 2005 04:02 PM

Hi my snake just shed it's skin yesterday. Is measuring the length of the skin the best way to find out how long your snake is? If not, let me know any other good methods that u know, thankyou, Jason, owner of 1 year old Cali King, Jynx.

Measuring a shed skin is not accurate as the sheds are as much as one thrid longer than the actual snake. There is a measuring program available but I always have problems with it. Take a photograph of your snake from directly above with a ruler next to it and post it. I know several people on the forum can tell from that.
