How do you give a 6 foot snake a bath?

tredding Apr 09, 2005 08:24 PM

I have this boa I rescued and it has been suggested that I clean the snake to clean up the belly rot. What do you wash with. In the tub soaking or with a damp cloth?
Thanks for the advise
Travis

i use just water... and i do it in the sink with the sprayer for 15 minutes a snake once a week...

but i think it would be a good idea if you did it once a day till it clears up..

I make sure my bathtub is clean...then let the snake soak in warm (not hot) water for about 15 minutes or so. Fill the tub up just so it covers the snake so he won't have to swim, they like to feel the bottom to feel safe. The snake will try to get out of the tub when he's done soaking. Never leave the snake alone to soak, they escape FAST!
