My new carpet and her enclosure

stilltraining Apr 09, 2005 09:28 PM

Hello all. I picked this little beauty up at the florida reptile exhibit earlier today. She's very sweet (only been bit once, and I deserved it) and has also already eaten for me. The only thing I've noticed is her water freaks her out a bit.

That may be because her water bowl is covering half of her ground space. Carpets can drown if their water is too deep. I would suggest getting her a much smaller bowl.

Also, whilst most carpets are semi-arboreal, they need a hide box. I find light-bulb boxes effective.

'twas just a thought.
On a lighter note, beautiful snake.

Cheers.
Aaron
