Unfortunately, housesnakes come in a lot of color phases that get called morphs and then there are others species in the group that get sold as morphs as well.
I don't keep them anymore, but I think if I was getting back into them, I would be trying to breed the reddest animals into the albino line to produce the pinkest albinos I could.

How much do albinos go for now?

Glades herp has some on their website right now (they are yearlings, I believe) for $250.

Most of my pics are on my website.

Housesnakes come in lots of morphs, although I´m quite sure- and I suppose Chris will back me up with that- that some local morphs may even be subspecies of L. fuliginosus or valid species. I doubt that someone will make an attempt to split the fuliginosus group, although this would be an interesting and neccessary task.
However...here´s a nice red Highvelt specimen.
Below I´ve alreday posted soem pics of light green and blacks I suppose, therefor I´ll leave it with that.

Mathias

Wrong pic. Sorry.
Now this is the mother of the male pictured above. It´s by far the best red I have. Pic doesn´t show, but it´s much more red than the juvenile above.

Mathias

Beautiful House snakes IndigoBlue1! They're great little snakes and I've really enjoyed keeping mine over the years. You've got a good selection- are you in the States? Most of the phases I've seen here on the East coast of the U.S. are red, cinnamon (kind of a light red brown), brown, greenish (which ranges from dark charcoal to olive green), lace pattern, striped pattern, and now albinos. I like the deep reds and the black/greenish phase best, but don't see many of the really dark AHS.

Thanks for posting your pictures and providing the additional information!

Thank you for your kind words.
No I´m not in the US, I´m living in Germany. It took me some years to build up a decent collection of pure colour phases, especially the light green phase and really good reds are extremly rare. You are more likely to get L. inornatus here than really red Highvelt morphs. It´s partly due to the fact that L. fuliginosus has been regarded as common and more or less boresome for most German Herpetoculturists and has not been high in demand for years. Therefor no importeur cares about importing such a cheap snake to Germany.
