Hello out there!

Hello out there I am new here which you guys can probably tell from my screen name. I just recentley acquired a baby red eared slider, that I found. I mean its abou the size of a quarter. I have had these guys before but it was a long time ago. I know what to feed, filtration, light. My question is I live in Ohio and I have an 180 gal pond outside. The temp here today is about 80 and the temp of the water is 64. What temp can I have my little guy outside is what I want to know? I have nothing in the pond yet, except the filtration and its been going now for about a week. I want to get some plants in there some tadpoles. Maybe some cheap fish to put in there, but basically I want to make it a turtle pond. Any information I would greatly apprecaite since I'm a little out of the loop.

Dennis

Once your water holds temps 68 degrees (night time) you can introduce your turtle into the pond. Do you have the pond set up so that the turtle cannot wander off. You will need to consider doing that before you put him out there. Otherwise he may dissappear on you.
