What snakes? How could you own a snake for a pet? Snakes represent evil. They have no feelings or emotions. Snakes are ugly and disgusting Blah Blah Blah ect. Sometimes when people drop these horrible lines around me I just want to tell them they have no idea or clue in understanding the beauty and character that delts with any kind of snake.. I'm glad that after work I can get on my computer and read these forums about morphs, diff. dom./co dom. acting traits and of course the pics we share to eachother of our exqusite pets. take care everyone 8)

And snakes are slimy, and they can poke you with their pisonous tails, and cut you with their sharp frked tongues..ciky icky beast. Good thing they don't has opposable thumbs or we would all be screwed.

Hey Shilow! Not fully disagreeing with what you said but God did make the snake not the devil! The devil just used the snakes body to tempt Eve into eating the apple!Thats whay a snake no longer walk's an was made to crawl upon its belly for eternity! Thanks Eric[Hypoboa]

as far as an excuse to go on a binge but isn't he the dude that ran all the snakes in Ireland into the sea lol? I was just thinking, geez I don't think I'm supposed to like this guy. Why am I celebrating on this day, particularly when I'm Italian? Anyway, the stories of Saint Patrick and the snakes are likely a metaphor for his bringing Christianity to Ireland and driving out the pagan religions (serpents were a common symbol in many of these religions). So where was PETA when all of these innocent snakes were drowned? Yeah right, like they's really care about THOSE ANIMALS!

This forum is one place I don't feel like a weird snake lady. I have always liked reptiles, but my favorites are the boas. I think my guys have lots of personality. Of course, it's not comparable to a mammal. You just have to know what to look for, and appreciate the most subtle messages. A cool thing for me, here in the boonies, is there are a few officers at work who love boas and pythons.....and we have FOUND each other....Yay!!...out of about a 1000 employees And then, there is a handful of "female" snake fanciers here in our small town. It makes life a little nicer for a weirdo like me. I am glad you guys are here, even I can't visit as often as I would like to.

They can be dangerous topics-I stopped talking about my snakes at work because of the "Ophidiophobic."

to a co-worker who asked to see it. Another coworker walked by, and when she saw the picture she JUMPED BACK so violently she injured herself by hitting her head on a wall. Since then I rarely if ever bring it up, and only around certain people I know.

only two animals were cursed by God. Humans and serpents. So it looks like we humans and snakes have something in common.
