About the CO2 cartridges...

Dragoon Jul 10, 2003 11:54 AM

Hello.
I have read a lot of posts concerning the use of CO2, but no post covered how to get it out of the little cartridges! They just said to 'puncture' it.
The problems I have with that is, isn't that what propels the paint ball? So how much pressure goes off when you 'puncture' it? I'd sooner ask here first, .. I'm chicken..
Is there any other convenient way to get CO2?
Thanks so much for your time.
D.

DO NOT use those little c02 cartridges for trying to euthanize animals,.you will most likely hurt yourself in the process of attempting to release the gas inside..

when we refer to a c02 type chamber, the most common method is to purchase a c02 TANK from a supply shop, or get a small refillable with on/off valve paintball tank..

i had a buddy loose part a finger attempting to poke the end off a co2 canister (like you are talking about)..

another easy method is to simply use DRY ICE..

best of luck

Dan is correct , you can go to a local welding supply and purchase a tank any where from 25 to 35 dollars and about 10 to 15 every refill. Depending on what supply you go to.

Get some brass fittings from the supply or home depot for the use of a small plastic hose.

Ive heard of alot of people here using paint ball canisters from big5 and paintball stores. I myself dont know the size of the tanks or how long they last.

Take Care
