Heat Pads?

Are Under tank heaters ok for raising the temps a but. I feel mine are too low right now.

yeah that should be fine just make sure they can't come in direct contact with it otherwise they could get burnt.

ehh i'd recomend a low wattage bulb a 40 watt red bulb, or i use to use the 40 watt black party lights at wal mart.

i also wouldn't use an under tank heater as my first choice. as suggested, a low wattage red, blue, or black bulb would be better. if you already have an under tank heater you could try it but as someone else mentioned, make sure they cannot come in direct contact with the surface that is just above the heat pad. if you were using a thermostat and played around with it for a bit that could also work.

I agree, go with a low wattage infrared heat bulb. Unless your crested stays on the bottom of the cage - how will an under the tank heating pad help the ambient temps in the rest of the cage (where your crested likely is most of the time)?
