BRB slightly burned

aliaime Apr 11, 2005 12:12 PM

My UTH remained on for several days...my digital malfunctioned while I was away. I noticed my BRB has a slight discoloration from staying on the UTH. Can I use Neosporin if there isn't any Vet available?

Unless it looks really bad I'd just keep an eye on it. If you put anything on it everything is going to stick to that spot unless you used newspaper or paper towels.

Did you see the baby sitting on the heat when it was real hot? I would think that they would avoid something to hot if they could.

I set mine up with a hide right by the hot spot and another at the cooler end, if I see them out on the hot spot I check to make sure the floor temps are what I think they are. If you watch they will tell you the temps they prefer.
Hope the babies doing well.
Randy

Is there a possibility your BRB is going into shed? It seems odd to me that if choices were available it would choose to continue resting where it was hot enough to receive a burn.
