neep a little advice please....

Well I came home with a new baby this Sat. And although I have done this twice already, I'm a worry wart. My little guy is 6"-7" (4-5 weeks old). Just as my others did, he isn't really eating or drinking. I put paper up on his tank so it would make him feel a little more protected but how long do I give him before I should truely worry. I offered crix, but he's not interested (along with rep-cal pellets and greens.) I should already know this stuff but it helps hearing it from others that this is all pretty normal.

TIA
Marilee

Some times babies might be scared of the crickets at first if the are to big but in time they will realize they are food. As far as drinking goes none of my guy really drink that much but if you provide them with greens like romaine they will consume a fair amount of fluid to keep him hydrated. If he goes for a couple more day without eating and he appears to be losing weight you may want to try to force feed him. Well good luck. Keep me informed.

Well...I think the crix I'm feeding him are probably a little smaller than he might be used to. He's a Dachui baby and Vicki made me feel a little better today. This might not have been the best thing but as I was getting the crix out of his tank tonight he didn't want to get off me so I let him hang out with me on the couch, and he shared a little orange gatoraid with me tonight. But its the first time he's drank anything and he was looking a little dehydrated so I was just happy to get some fluids in him! He's absolutely beautiful. I get pics up soon as he's eating well! Thanks for the pep talk!
