Wild Blood Python

chameleon2005 Jul 10, 2003 12:15 PM

I am hoping that someone may be able to help me!

I am buying a wild blood python (Python curtus curtus)tomorrow.

Basically I know that these snakes tend to have a nasty temperemant, that i am prepared for! I am looking for as much advice on feeding as possible. I stay in U.K where feeding live is illegal unless the snake has not fed for 6 months so that`s not an option. I am told it is between 3-4 foot long just now!

Any advice will be much appreciated.

One bit of info is that the blood pythons scientific name is Python brongersmai, its the Sumatran short-tailed python that has the scientific name Python curtus. Other then that, I hope you have done your research and you are ready to take this guy to a vet if he needs it! Wild ones usually do.
