Pictures of my rudicollis

JPsShadow Apr 11, 2005 06:23 PM

Decided to take a few pictures today after I fed everyone. I know a few people have posted requests to see pictures representing adult rudi's.

Here is one of my males, the cage is 6'H x 4'D x 5'W. He has outgrown this cage and will move into a new one soon enough. Then the smaller rudis I have been raising will then go into this cage.

great pics . I was interested in seeing black and brown roughnecks. im going to get one or the other within the year. can you make a case for either one, do you have pic of browns. i want to see the difference in these monitors because I want a moderate sized monitor. I don't want a thin structured monitor but I don't want a huge structured monitor. I like argus type builds. whats there activity level?

all input appreciated. Oh yeah one other thing do these monitors have a long cooling down period for breeding. It's hard to find info on these monitors on the net.

one more thing do you know of a website with brown and black roughneck info.

once again great pics

My rudi's and dumerils are both active but behaviors and actions are different. No cooling is needed.

This is my big male dumerils he is very close to the size of my big male rudi.

great pics. how long and heavy is he, and in general are the black roughnecks larger than the brown.

thanks

what he weighs I have never had a reason to get him out to check. As for how long he is that would be 4 foot. Thats easy enough to guesstimate by how much of the cage he takes up.

Yes in general rudis are larger then dumerils but not by alot. The cage setup is different between the two of them.
