In 1999 my iguana was found as a stray in Laurel, MD. At the time I tried to find the owners, but had no luck, and this baby has been with me ever since. As the age at which so many captive iguanas start declining approaches, it's made me wonder more and more about the past. If you lost an iguana in Maryland that year, or even gave away an iguana that year to someone in Maryland, please contact me. I don't care why or how this iguana came into my hands, I'd just like to know more the history, and maybe, the true age. Knowing the past might help with the future, when it comes to veterinary care, particularly in old age.
