Giant bullfrogs?

Just wanted to post about an event that happened a few years ago. I was over my friends house and he had a little pond in his backyard. We got some nets and caught some tadpoles. These things were the biggest tadpoles i have ever seen in my life! Honest to god they were bigger than baseballs! I swear! I didn't see the adult frogs but rob sai that they were massive and very very loud. Just wondering if it was common for bullfrogs to get so big! Thanks!
