A few questions???

hippyguy Apr 11, 2005 09:40 PM

Hey
I was just wondering if anyone ever had any problems taking their snakes out side and letting them crawl around on the ground for a photo, Under close supervision of course? I mean people come and spray my yard for ticks so i'm not worried about ticks, but is the spray unhealthy,I mean I wouldnt take the snake out side like soon after they sprayed, but you understand.
And the guy I got my frozen rats from went out of business, so I need to find a new one, Im not really in a rush i believe i have somewhere around 150 in my frezzer. But i was looking at rodentpro.com, has anyone heard anything negitive about them? thanks

I deal with Rodentpro all the time. They have very tasty rats, nothin bad to say about them. They have a very good packing system. As fare a the spray...I wouldnt risk it. I take mine outside but I dont use anything on my lawn. Man my yellow is so small in this pic.

Hey
thanks for replying. The lawn spray is one of those things that they spray like once or twice a year, they leave a little note on your door saying If you have a pet dog please refrain from letting it outside for either 8 or 12 hours. One of those things. I just really wanted to take pics of the snakes in the grass I see peoples pics of snake in the grass and they turn out really good.Oh also Im trying to build a 3 cage stack system it is getting kinda tricky there are a lot of options, but when i get started i will put up some pis, I might endup getting some of the monster cages though, depends on prices I emailed them but they havent e mail me back today, Im sure i will get one tomarow. thanks

I ordered from rodentpro and am very pleased with their quality. They have a good assortment of size and type of feeders. Also you can order by % of box filled to maximize space v cost.

I got my first batch of rats from Kevin & Kelli and I am pleased. I've known them for a # of yrs now. We were in a herp club together when I lived up in IN. Hows Qbert doing? Nefi is growing well. Take care. Steven a.k.a. Macroclemys

I wish I knew of someone near me in WI that could take my old breeder rats off me...my snakes are all too small to eat them. They're just piling up in the freezer! lol
