The eggs near the top of the pic (the ones still covered in bedding) are alot smaller than the ones below them. The bigger eggs are the eggs that are due to hatch any day now. They have been incubating for 56 days but I don't know when they will hatch...they should have hatched this week. Do they look to be the right size? I have never done this before and I am worried.

They look fine to me, I would just keep waiting cause if they havent molded by now, then they will hatch. You cant really predict when a egg will hatch. I tried to estimate when a egg will hatch and I was always wrong. haha.

A month or so ago I had 3 eggs cooking, two were looking real big and looked ready (swollen) to hatch while the other one that was of the same age had lost its clutch mate and looked really small in comparison to the other two. Well one week later the small one hatched while the big ones both molded over. The baby is very healthy and all so it goes to show that you can't know until they either die or hatch. Good luck, what temps have you been incubating at?

I think the eggs look good as well... I've actually had some pretty small eggs this year too, but so far all of them have hatched out a-okay... My small ones came from my first time breeders... Kinda hard to wait for the eggs to hatch out though, man I hate the waiting game. But once the babies show up in the deli cups its all worth while...

PS - Any babies yet cleo?

with everyone's comment about the eggs looking good. I've hatched out approximately 140 eggs so far this season with the majority of them being female. I incubate at 81-83 and have seen them hatch as early as 48 days to as long as 65 days. Just be patient with them and before you know it you'll have little geckos running rampant
