Is she yours?Where did you get her?Is that the enclosure your gonna keep her in?Sorry about all the questions.Just wondering.Looks like a nice Banka island blood.Thanks.
So you think shes a banka blood? thats the cage that the dealer had her in when i bought her. I keep her in a 30 gallon tank. The man i bought her from said she was a Sumatran, but she doesnt have the usual colors and markings. Thanks alot for looking.
If you think its a banka, tell me why?
Any other opinions about the blood?
Thanks
Billy,as you know I'm a ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED with RED bloods.Let me tell you what,You definately got a SCREAMER there.Clean pattern,no black speckles, and a nice deep red color.Thank the blood gods that you got that one.The reason I think she is a Banka is because, she has that typical banka head shape.Deep red color, fairly clean and that classic banka melty pattern.Good Luck post more pics pls. Pretty snake...resembles a Bangka, but I've seen Sumatrans like that too. Unless you have firsthand locality data from the collector, you'll never know for sure.

Just because I have a short attention span doesn't mean
The markings, color, and long slender (shovel) head make the think its a Banka as well. But like Kara said you never know for sure unless you have specific locality data. There all just red bloods when it comes down to it.

Hey,
That looks just like the ones I just got from Kevin Marter. He didn't know the locale, but he had killer pics of the parents. Yeah, they look like Bangkas (Kara's sp.) but unless you know for sure, you never know. Either way, it's going to grow up to be one killer, clean snake. Market it as a Marter Island, you'll have people going nuts over Indonesian maps!

Whats a Marter Blood? Any pics of them.
So what should I market it as (or call it)?
Thank you
Then you should disclose that when you're "marketing" this animal. It's a red blood - most likely Sumatran, but actual locality data unknown. Call it what it is!

Hey,
Kevin Marter produced a clutch last year that amazingly resemble your animal, almost not speckling, rich orange-red with that buttercream striping. I just picked up a pair along with several others on the board. I was JOKING about the name, just referencing how nice the snake was and comparing it to Kevin's stock.
Enjoy your wonderful snake!
Steve
I you do not know specific locality from collection data, you have a RED BLOOD! And should not label it otherwise, end of story!
