Should my easterns be out of hibernation yet

phishnuts Apr 12, 2005 05:10 PM

I live in NJ.My easterns are sill buried outside. They are alive.I see them peak their headsout of the mulch. I have a pen at my other house about 30 miles away. The turtles there are out already.

Not necessarily.
I'm in central VA, and only a couple of mine are out. My neighbor's, on the other hand, are all up and out, and they live less than 100 yards away. Go figure.
If they're alive and well, you have nothing to be concerned about.
