kriminaal Apr 12, 2005 06:15 PM

I've heard that Uros can't process sugars very well.So feeding fruit is not recommended. Is this true?

i think if it is done in moderation as a treat then it is ok, however citrus fruits should not be fed to them, the citric acid hurts their stomachs. i think raspberries are pretty good for them but my guys won't eat them

I give mine 1 grape cut up or a plum slice or cantalope. He hasn't had any problem. I do this maybe 2x a week.

Mine don't really like any of the fruits I've tried, but I hear other good choices are dates, figs, and raisins.
