hi everyone, my high school science teacher runs a program called kids and kritters.we started with 20 snakes and 2 geckos. a pet store closed and we ended up with 5 more geckos and 15 more snakes. my teacher has given me the job of finding out what kind of albinos we should buy to make a good profit from our breeding season next year. we hope to be self sustained in a few years. but for now a $23,000 state grant is gonna buy us the starting generation and the equiptment. He wanted to get more of a variety in our gecko population so he bought 16 more geckos. the male is a giant temp. albino. we have 2 LV albino females, 2 Patternless females, and one chocolate jungle albino. the rest are too young to breed. last year with the one male and 6 females we had we succesfuly hatched 2 geckos. i was happy for our very first atempt. this year we were hoping for a more interesting outcome but the over agressive albino male messed it up. he severly injured one of the LV females and injured his "happy place" beyond repair. the local exotics vet told me he wont' be mating again. so now i need to find another male that i can mate with our females. the teacher wants to attempt blazing blizzard! i thought that was aiming a little high for our 2nd year at this but i have to ask... what type of genetics does it take in a pair of gecos to produce a blazing blizzard? thanks CARYN
