It doesn't look like a ratsnake to me, from the picture I'd say that it is a species of water snake, Nerodia sp.

Was kidding.Took my camera down to one of my favorite fishing/herping spots.I was hoping to get some pics of the local hognose but didnt see any.I may have went down to early for them.I did see many water snakes.They were everywhere...Paul

I once was fishing at this spot in Texas, it was an inside thing someone built. Like a enclosed Boat Doc. anyhow, fishing in there when I saw one of those water snakes. So I was messing with him and watched him go into the rubber sides of the doc. So I lifted up the rubber and about 15-20 of these guys came pouring out! I woulda loved to have my camera!!!!
Course it scared the hell outa me at the moment. lol
