The Future of Boas and my newest and BEST addition ever (PICS)

carl3 Apr 13, 2005 01:36 AM

My future snake helper and next generation reptile lover...
Miss Emily Grace

At 3 days old and only 6lbs, she's already a handful!

Lucky for her, she's inherited her mom's looks!

and to stay on-topic...I just love these boas

Well, these were once members of the boa family (according to old taxonomy i think)

...anyway, now they're so mad about being called pythons, that they take it all out on their prey!

Any pit fans here?

What can I say...OT never hurt once in awhile! Keeps things interesting!

Well, it certainly is going to be a busy spring season...to say the least. At 28, I had my 3rd major abdominal surgery just weeks ago; and now, in the midst of my recovery, I'm a father! With so much going on, I decided to wait till next year to breed many of my project snakes for fear of not being able to give it 110% in caring for them. Thank goodness...b/c I would have definitely over-extended myself. And now I'm even busier, at 2am..I've changed my first diaper and it’s all too unreal but very exciting. Now if I could just get her up and walking, so she could help me clean/feed my snakes!

Sincerely,
Jason

Cute little girl! BTW, Bismark ringed pythons were under genus Liasis, species boa. Liasis boa in old taxonomy, always a python. Very nice Hog Isle, and Central (what is the locale?).
