Thin gravid boa?

mbleek448 Apr 13, 2005 01:38 AM

I have an albino that is gravid. She hasn't ate since November. Her due date is June 29th but she looks like she is losing alot of weight.I have tried to feed her but she wants nothing to do with it. Is this normal? Thanks Marshall

It's completely normal, but you want her to look like she is losing weight in her neck area. If she is, your more likely to get a good litter and not sluggggggsssss. Good luck, with boas you never know for sure until she delivers.

Luck.... hopefully you will get a great clutch of babies... i have to say that mine usually look plumper when they are gravid but.... i have seen some smaller looking snakes... It just depends on you being about to know your boa and witness what that particular boas usually looks like compared with the gravid state... Best of luck to you and keep us informed..

Sincerely,
Rose Hipskind
