I have a under tank heater on a 55 gallon that I put on about 1 year ago and now it just recently keeps falling half way off, is there a way I can tape it on, so I can avoid buying another one?
Thanks,
Beth

That sucks because UTHs normally only have a guarantee up until 1 year after purchase and after that, you will have to buy a totally new UTH. I don't know if taping it would be a good idea...I am really paranoid about stuff like that (I am afraid I'll burn down my house). One of my UTHs fell off about year after I got it and I had to go out and buy a new one. Maybe if you go to home depot or some store like that you will be able to find some adhesive glue...like the kind they already use on the UTH.

with duct tape. Don't cover any of the elements - just the clear plastic part. If the tape is not covering the element, the heat will not release the duct tape. This stuff is very agressive and won't be likely to come off. Mine is working perfectly so far and I expect no problems. Good luck... RR
I dont know if this would work but you might want to try electrical black tape. It has a high melting point and well heck it used as ELECTRICAL tape so it might work.
to keep from rubbing off there heqt tape sliding boxs in and out
