My BTS has not been eating well over the winter. I figured it was just winter slow-down, but now it's spring & everyone else in the herp room is eating better, except Indigo. I offer a wide variety: various veggies, fruits, meats, greens, premium canned cat food, etc. The only thing he'll really eat lately (over the last 5 months or so) is worms, snails & eggs. I'm offering these rarely as I don't want him to restrict his diet to protein sources, as I know they will if given the chance. I'm currently feeding him once a week, down from daily & every other day last year, when he was eating better. He has lost 60 grams since I last weighed him in August 2004! He is an adult, but I don't know how old.
Any advice is appreciated. He appears healthy & is as active as he's ever been, spending most of his time buried in his carefresh substrate. His temps are in the 90's on the hot side & 70's on the cool side. He has 2 hides, a large water bowl & UV light. He is on the bottom floor of this cage I built.
