What species benefit from humid hides?

sned25271 Apr 13, 2005 06:13 PM

Do all species benefit from humid hides? I was wondering if my Russians, Marginateds, Sulcatas, and Stars would like it. They are getting a little bumpy and I have heard a lot about humid hides. Would these arid species develop resporatory problems if they had a humid hide?

I'm convinced that all species of tortoises will benefit from humid hides but you also have to be sure it is warm and humid.

When you say "warm and humid," do you think 72 degrees qualifies as warm for a desert species of tort? (Egyptian)

Thanks!
