dragomlover Apr 13, 2005 10:24 PM

Hello
I am trying to get opionins on what type of albino line this females is from. So far somebody has told me they think its from the Bell line of albino's. What do you think?

She is a Bell.

They have a distinct pattern that trempers don't have.

Thank you for your input. Now I don't have to guess about which line she is from. I only have 2 leopard geckos and recently I have been learning a lot of information about there different albino lines. Now all I have to do is get a Bell Albino male. Are they hard to find? And I pay 30 dollars for my Bell albino female when she was 6 months old. How much do you think an adults male bell albino would be? Thankx

while it does look like a bell, its probaby an abberant as bell jungles are fairly new and the only person i know of thats working with them is Kelli from H.I.S.S., get a full body picture, if the tail is banded its an abberant, if the tail is abberant then its a jungle, try gttoimng a pic of her of her eyes as well, bell eyes are pink

I've had Trempers that look just like that. It could be either. An eye pic would help. I'd actually lean towards Tremper, because the pattern is brown, not reddish.

I think that is a Tremper as well.....

GreggMM Apr 14, 2005 05:05 PM

She does look very Bellish..... I retract what I said above and I will say she is a Bell.....

dragomlover Apr 14, 2005 08:36 PM

Well I know for a fact she isn't a Tremper because that is what I bred her with and only got normal hets. I was only told about a year ago when I bought her that she is an albino jungle phase. And not until recently did I understand there are many different albino lines and you have to stick to one to get all albino babies. So so far everybody agrees it to be a bell then? Hope the better picture helps.

Sorry I forgot to include that yes she does have pink eyes.

I would say bell Jungle, and those so far are rare so you got a steal at $30.

Really? Well, thats awesome. How would I make jungle albinos on my own with her? Just find another male bell jungle albino? Also, I bred her to my tremper albino and so far all the babies have come out normal in there pattern. So does that mean the jungle phase isn't line bred? Or is it?

Kendergirl Apr 18, 2005 01:04 AM

I don't know the answer to jungles being line-breed or not...so I'll leave that one to someone else.

So for making more jungle babies like your girl...you're right. You'll need another Bell Jungle Albino...or at the very least a Bell Albino. LOL...see above about the jungle thing.

Ok...I'm just so tired I'm getting slap-happy...so time for me to go and dream about smiley-faced geckos.
