aspen bedding

is aspen bedding safe for a Nile monitor.

aspen is "safe" but not at all ideal for a Nile. you would be MUCH better off using a moister substrate, i would recommend a good soil, and in a distant second place, cypress mulch.

Aspen is dry and no good for monitors, cyprus works for a few people but wood chips are for flowerbeds, your monitor wants dirt. After seeing and keeping a monitor in deep digable dirt you will never go back.

Me i use it for mu sav. it's not the best choice but since me it's a good choice, but i don't very know the nile monitor
