Last night we fed one of our newer youngsters crickets for the second time since we got him/her. The criks were kind of on the small side, but we weren't sure just how many would get eaten so we threw a few in and waited - not for long!
To make a long story short - after 18 crickets he/she was looking decidedly uncomfortable - squirming a bit to fit everything in... But now he/she's looking up at us as if to say "is that all?". We were very curious as to how many more would get eaten, but stopped putting crickets in.
Just for the record, this little one has been eating CGD very nicely since we got it and was not starved or anything before this...
I guess the crux of my post is this - should we just keep shoveling the crickets in as long as he/she will keep eating, or is there a point when you say "enough is enough" I have never had a reptile eat so much that I was worried about this - lol!
Also - after a while I stopped offering dusted ones since I was afraid there would be too much of that at once, was that a good decision or a bad one?
Thanks for your advice....
