Leos can travel a good distance in a car. Try putting it in a deli cup iht some lightly moist papertowels in there with it and put it in a dark spot. SHould be fine for your 45 min drive. Vet bills can defire from place to place. Give your local reptile vet a call and ask how much for an office vest, fecel exams are they can always give you an estimate. Make sure that you can find a good vet though. CANT STRESS THAT ENOUGH! Its always good to look around for place to place too.

leos should do fine that long, just put the little critter in a deli cup or even a little plastic cairier (cant remember names but you can get them at a pet store for a few bucks) and also put some moist paper towels in and he should be fine. The cost of vet treatment varies between vets but my vet charges 15 dollars for fecals.

15 dollars!? I wish, when i got my ball python checked it was 55 dollars. I got lucky in finding a really good vet though so i cant complain that much.

Your leo will be fine in the car for 45 minutes but be careful if you are to have your A/C on. If you are getting an albino put him/her out of the sun since bright light hurts their eyes. Make sure you find a "herp" vet not just any old vet. Some vets claim they see exotic animals like reptiles but have no idea what they are doing. I heard too many vets using other people's reptiles as guinea pigs to experiment because of their lack of knowledge in this field.

My trip to the vet for Beanie's parasite problem cost 75 bucks total for a physical exam, a fecal test, and medicine. Not bad at all. Offer to pay for the gas money if your parents will drive you to Garrick's.
