Hey I was just curious about something, is it OK to feed chicks to an adult ball python?

my friend use to feed his adult ball pythons chicks all the time and had no problems, he liked feeding chicks cause they were cheaper and wouldn't bite. I myself fed chicks to the big red tail I use to have and had no problems either.

Though gothpython and I were discussing this the other day and he mentioned that the beak going down inside the snake might not be good. Let's see what others think.
