Has anyone ever had any problems with zoo med UTH. I was checking my corn snakes today when I noticed a burnt smell. I pulled one of the 10 gallon tanks of the shelves and got my hand near the UTH it shocked the crap out of me. It had burnt the bottom out of the pad about the size of a 50 cent piece,cracked the bottom of the tank and actually scorched some of the aspen bedding in the tank. I was happy to see Wombat was ok but darn that is scarry. On investigation I see that the pad has like bunches of hair fine wires running through it. Some of these must have touched. Lucky did not burn the house down. I am about through with zoo-med products. This pad and 2 reostats from them shot so far

Well, i have never had any problems with them, but i have been hearing a lot of bad things about them. In about month, i am going to build a rack, so they will be outta here.

i had a zoomed uth that got to 130 or so F
it melted my rubermaid that had one of my evil albinos in it
happily the gex wasnt hurt
