I have a few questions!!!!

zoolady Apr 14, 2005 11:14 PM

I am going to post simular Q's about my other snakes in different forums too. But this one is for the kingsnakes.
I am wondering, at what age can you breed Brooks????

And, My Brooks are about 7 months old, (I have 4) and one has eaten, odly it was the one that is all glazed over and about to shed. But the other three, are not eating yet. One just shed, and the other two, as far as I can tell are not going to shed anytime real soon. They look shiny and their eyes are clear. But none of those 3 will eat. They just go off and hide under thier bedding (Aspen). How long is safe for them to go without eating before I should worry? Mind you I just got them this weekend. But it really didnt look to me like any of them had eaten anytime recently. And some are eating, and some arent. I have had a few shed and still about to shed though.
If you guys could help me answer these questions I would apreciate it. Thanks.

Brooksi can breed in as little as 18 months if fed properly. but i think the safest age for breeding Brooksi is 2-3 yrs.

Some snakes do take a little while to get accustom to their new surroundings and will not eat for a while but Brooksi usually feed like crazy.

try feeding the non-feeders in a small container... so it's just them and the food item.
or just wait for them to shed...

Hope this helps... let me know how everything goes.
