Sarcofago Jul 10, 2003 03:09 PM

hey there , i wonder if there's any way to calculate the age of a chameleon by it's size or something related, since i have a couple of Jackson's ( 9" and 7"but in the pet store where i bought them, they could never inform me, the exact age they are...is there a chance to get approximate somehow? i appreciate any help, thanks a lot.

Hi there,

Regarding the question on your chameleons age, it will be very hard to judge. Many factors lead to the size of the chameleon, and other things, such as water, temperature, stress, food, supplementation have many things to contribute. If you bough them as adults, an even lesser chance that you will find out will occur. Many chameleons of even the same clutches have been drastically different in size, color, temperament, etc...
