I have an idea for the name if the golden corn turns out to be genetic. Name it the midas ssp.

Thanks for the Idea! Might have to consider it. . .She's putting on good weight and appears to have small lumps (eggs) already developing . Hoping for 100% NORMAL'S!

Will have to take some more pics soon. Here's an older pic of her outside on my front lawn (before she was gravid)

Today I felt the snake and counted about 11 lumps, plus or minus one. . . I guess that's seems about right for her size, she's about 43" long.

I am excited for you, even if I can't get any of the babies...
I wish you the absolute best.

Thanks! She's refusing her normal food now (large mice), so I might try a fuzzy or two for a pre laying apetizer

So why are you hoping for 100% normals?

I imagine he's hoping for normals because he bred her with a normal male, and if they come out normal, they'll probably be hets, meaning that the morph is probably genetic.

I hope they turn out for you, Zee! Can't wait to see her in person!

Frito, my corn chip!

BlueKing Apr 18, 2005 08:48 PM

Hi there, Todd! Frito looks like he's a nice one - How big is he? How many corns do you have? (I currently have 12 of them my 23 Kings 1 big Indigo 1 black rat)

I'm hoping for normals, so that it would indicate a new genetic trait, not just a freak accident (like a two headed snake)
