How many rabbits should I have in a colony? Thanks in advance for the help.

I keep my rabbits seperated in cages. I introduce the male and let him do his thing then I take him out.

Yes, keep them caged separately. One buck can take care of several does. Just like with rats you can introduce the buck to one doe at a time and you can space out the litters to have a constant supply of bunnies.
