We,ve had our little guy(girl) for a week now and notice he sleeps standing up leaning against the glass and sometimes he just lays out flat as a pancake on the floor. He seems to alternate each night. Just curious if this is normal?

Yes, it's normal. Looks very uncomfortable, but apparently it is not. The pancake thing is normal, too. Enjoy all the weird things that beardies do. Wait until your littleone waves at you. Just the cutest.

Trust me, if a BD is comfertable it will fall asleep in about any position. Get your BD a ReptiHammock. They LOVE them.

After seeing your dragon in that hammock makes me wish I could sleep that good! Cute picture. We are certainly enjoying watching the personality of our little guy(girl) develop.
Bearded dragons do pick the weirdest ways to sleep. On their baskign spot, standing up in a corner, head resting on a rock, hanging off the screen.....the list is endless.

OMG Those pics are so cute. My two usually dig themselves a hole to sleep in at night then they cover it up the next morning. I've seen mine dig under their logs and sleep that way but I've never seen them sleep straight up like that. I love the repti hammock though I think my two would love that in their tanks. Where did you find that? I know my female would love it because she's always up on her logs but my male doesn't really move that much unless theirs food involved. I know my males not sick he's just lazy and likes to watch the ceiling fan lol.
The repti-hammock is great, but you do need to be somewhat careful with it. The nylon knit in it can catch claws easily, and if the hammock tips over it can hurt your beardies' claws real easily. I took the pattern of the hammock and cut mine out of raincoat leather I had lying around. It's also softer and water-resistant than the nylon and is guaranteed not to harm him in any way. Plus, it's washable.
Pic of Draconis in his nylon hammock before we made the new one...
