--help please--egg laying delay

snakeylo Apr 15, 2005 10:21 PM

My fifteen ft 150lb burm regina went through brumation fine and bred with my male in textbook fashion. last month she went through her pre egg lay shed and last week she layed one infertile egg and has not layed any others although she looks like she is ready to lay 20-30 more. Is it common for a burm to lay a dud then take a week or so off before laying the rest or should I worry about her being egg bound? She has an area to lay and has been basking more than usual. My incubator is ready and waiting for her first litter. Any advise will be helpful

How many days were between the last shed and the laying of the one infertile egg?
