Just "normals" but they're mine, so to me they're special.
I got them on Sunday. My female is a absolute doll and my male is a chicken.
Thinking of calling them Hercules and Xena.

is the snake that thin or is it just the picture....
The one you say is thin could only be the male.
The female is a lot thicker and she only weighs 36 grams which is scary!! Male weighs 59 grams and they're the same length give or take 1/4"
The store I bought them from has a reputation of selling unhealthy snakes (won't say where or which store). So my hope is the'll survive. My friend bought two the same time as me....his female died this morning.
I see nearly 30,000 import babies a year, and I can tell you that skinny one has probably never eaten a meal in his life, and won't be to eager to try! If I were you I'd put him by himself, make sure he has a good hide and a large enough water dish to soak in, and keep him warm. He probably won't eat for you willingly, but try fuzzy mice. You may have to force feed. He won't last much longer like that.
Good luck!

that's a shame, how can a place sell such badly taken care of animals...i'd have to complain to someone bout this place...jus plain cruelty....
Like it's been said a zillion times...as long as people keep buying them, they will keep selling them.
how true...but how could one look at them and not want to take them home n make them all better....ya know?
Meanwhile they're counting your money and ordering more.
This is one of the biggest reptile stores in the area and it also arranges all the reptile expos....it's a shame
The store probably received the snakes in bad condition from a less reputable supplier. We don't send ours out for several weeks and several successfull feeds. Do you know how long the store had them in stock?
I doubt they were there for long.....they were basically brought in for the show.....and they all looked the same
How many were there?
The snake on top is definately not going to make it unless you take it to a vet asap. It is thin, and looks dehydrated. I would take it back, and get my money back or take it to the vet.

The pic shows three of my normal females, and what a ball should look like, no folds of skin, no spine showing etc. And no, they do not share a cage, I put them togather to clean the other cages.

Folds are ok when she's crumpled up in her little ball, right? I'm used to colubrids, where anything other than tight, taunt skin is unusual. Mine's definitely round, as in you can't make out her spine, and her skin doesn't look literally draped over her bones, but I'm just checking
I've only seen those "Lines" "Wrinkles" running down the body like that in two snakes. Both were neonates (Babies) fighting a fairly bad protozoan infection and starved to death due to an inability to keep the food down.
It could just be an effect of the photo, but I'd take that snake to a vet right away, and the lower healthier looking one as well just-in-case as they have obviously cross contaminated already.
sorry to hear about your friends female...i'm in no way an expert nor claim to be but a snake that thin should be taken to the vet asap, n the other one since they came from the same place just to be on the safe side...as JM has already said...good luck and hope all comes out well
I would be surprised if the one on top survives.
