Banana or a Leucistic Carpet Python??

jaguarpython.com Jul 10, 2003 03:58 PM

Thought you might enjoy this photo of a patternless Jaguar emerging from its egg.
Unfortunately, it died soon after hatching.
It looked more like a Leucist than a Banana Jaguar, with NO pattern whatsoever and with black eyes

Such a specimen has only appeared as a result of breeding my pair of adult Red Hypo Jaguars.

can do to it's offspring. And so the jaguar spiral spins even deeper. That is absolutely unreal. Sorry to here that it didn't make it. That would have been a million dollar carpet if I ever saw one.

if they were cheaper i would buy ten of them!!!!
so maybe if you produce an animal that was not as amazing as a jaguar but is different and looks cool you could price it at $150 or so. i would deafenetly buy some!!!!!!!!
but it's all up to you.
keep up the good work and good luck

The mutibility of the Jaguar is phenominal!!! I am just in awe...this is the main reason I love Carpets. When hatching day is just like Christmas!

Now all we need is for someone to sucessfully breed jaguar siblings!

Keep the pictures comming. I for one never tire at looking a Jags!!!

First of all, that snake is amazing.

Are you saying that the banana jags have only been produced when 2 jags have been bred together? Because you mention your banana jag on your website, yet you also state that two jags have never been bred together.

Yes, the Banana was produced from the founder Jaguar male and a
Coastal female. This animal had a different ground color and not a
pink/white color like the Leucist with black eyes.
I produced babies this year from my high yellow Hypo Jag pair as well,
but none of these turn out like the babies from the Red Hypo pair.
Especially, no Leucist.
