Sex in the serpentarium

I walked into my snake room this afternoon and found these guys copulating..Not that it's any great feat to get this species to reproduce, it's still cool because you know you have healthy animals.

1.1 Echis carinatus.. maybe more to come

Who cares if has been done before, you get a big pat on the back for a job well done. The conditions you are keeping them in must be absolutely perfect and that is indeed a stunning pair. Keep us posted on future births. Good job! Rob

Nice, let me know how you do feeding your babies. I have some tricks that worked last year. Scenting live pinks with cricket juice really worked for stubborn feeders. And after a few months of pinks, one took runt hoppers and held them down and grew like a weed.

I'll keep you posted..I'm thinking late July/August if the male was potient. I've read that males SS loose their fertility in captivity.
