What feeder will make a snake grow faster? Will a couple mice (2-3) at one feeding be better than just 1 small rat?

I personally feel that rats are much better than the mice they seem to aide in growth more. As soon as you are able to start sm rats the better. Good luck.

There really isn't any difference. My mice feeders put on just as much weight as my rat feeders (sometimes more). It depends on the snake more than anything, if it prefers one over the other, it will be more likely to eat more often on the feeder it prefers. I also feel that mice are safer when feeding live.
Some people will swear up and down that rats are better, ask them for proof and you will not get any...lol. But just one single data point I will share...one of my pastel males has only ever eaten mice, he was hatched on 10-6-04 (about six months ago), he currently weighs 905 grams and has been producing sperm plugs for a month or two. He eats on average three to four mice per week.
WOW! He's already 900 grams?! My pastel male is one that I am trying to switch over, but he likes his mice! He will eat 3 or 4 week, but wont touch a small small rat (not quite weanling, but smaller than my normal size small rats.) I also have the 2 almost 3 yr old females who for 2.5 yrs straight their owner only fed them 2 mice each every 3 or 4 weeks!! (wanted to "keep them small"
They are doing very well now! One just shed, the other is just going into shed. I have had them since 4-1 and they have gained a good 100 grams each. But I wasnt sure if rats would be better for them, or if mice were ok. They take 2-4 mice at one time, and right now could easily take a small rat. Thanks everyone
