Feeding Leopards?

buckroebeardie Apr 16, 2005 05:09 PM

Hello,

How often should I feed my Leopard Torts?

I have two that are hatchlings and one that is about 6 inches.

Thanks for the responses

I feed all my torts every other day in the winter/cold months. I have a big leo and two redfoots. If your leo's are really tiny (maybe under 1 year old) I would feed every other day...

I feed my leo a mix of grocery store greens, weeds/grasses from a yard with no fertilizer or pesticide, good hay (I use timothy) and of course a bit of mazuri tort chow. I think the mazuri is espically helpful for small torts: they love to eat it and it supplies alot of good minerals and vitamins (nice hard, well formed shells).

During the summer my leo is outside, she eats from the yard when she wants... (but she still gets a bit of mazuri every other day)
