Hi everyone. Wanted to tell you guys what happened when i went to my local Pet store today. Ok i live in a small town so its actually a Hardware store that has a small pet department. Well i had heard that they had a huge Iguana so i had to go check it out. Story is the prior owner was moving and having a baby so couldnt keep the Ig. I was shocked when i seen him. Hes just huge, about 5 feet long at least. This guy looks to be in pretty good shape. Well except for his cage needs to be bigger, but they do let him free roam the store alot, with supervision of course. I also spoke with the girl working in the pet department about his diet. Which needs improving big time. In his bowl it looked like romaine maybe, and some apples. So anyway she seemed really intrested in what i had to say, and im going to print something off for them tonight and take it in to them. But oh gosh i got that urge to take him home. LOL He was so sweet, not near as flighty as my ozzy is and very affectionate. They let me hold him too. He seemed like he enjoyed the cuddleing even. But i also know theres no way i could do it, Ozzy is plenty for me to handle. The girl did say they will only let him go to someone who is a experienced owner so hopefully he will get a good home. In the mean time i also told the girl as soon as my garden gets going i coudl even bring in the extras that ozzy doesnt eat. I always plant way more greens than he can eat. Well just wanted to share what happend, and im going to keep checking back to make sure hes being cared for properly. He did have a good lighting set up, but the cage was not near big enough. I know the owner of the store so i am going to give him some crap about that, being they are a hardware store, they have about everything needed to build a bigger enclosure, just have to get some wood. I cant take him but maybe i can help make his life a little better. Oh and today i just planted Ozzys garden. Yes my lizard has his own section in my garden. LOL Collards, turnip, and mustard greens, butternut squash, and green beans. Also going to plant some nastursiums for him, he loves those. Well hope everyones iggys are doing well. Take care Tami
