Johnston's Crocodile?

goini04 Apr 16, 2005 09:22 PM

Looking back over John Whites photographs from his post below, I noticed the one that was labeled as "Johnstons Crocodile". Forgive my studity, but is the Johnstons crocodile the same as the African Slender-snouted crocodile?

Thank you in advance!

I think I might have answered my own question, would that in fact actually be a Australian Fresh water croc?

I believe you did answer your own question there. Johnson's crocodiles would be the Australian freshwater crocs.

The Australian Freshwater Crocodile is Crocodylus johnstoni and the African Slender-snouted crocodile is Crocodylus cataphractus.
