my beardie never goes to the bathroom in his tank. when he wants to go poo, he shows that he wants out of his tank so i take him out for a run and he always poops on the carpet. he never goes in his tank. why would this be?? or is it just a preference? lol

It's a preference, he doesn't want to poop where he lives. Got any tile anywhere?..lol

Personally I don't blame your beardie. I wouldn't want to use the bathroom in my enclosure either lol. My female prefers to use the bathroom when she gets a bath or she likes to do it when I'm holding her it seems but she will use the bathroom in her tank and cover it up unless I catch it right after she goes. My male will only use the bathroom in his tank but he also covers it up and I have to go digging for it to get it out.
