I know a person in another state that has some new baby boas. He will mail me one, if he can find out how to do it. Does anyone know what the procedures are to mail a snake? Thanks good people. Oops almost forgot, I am new to this site, so I want to say HI to all of you. Take care..Bruce

Welcome to the Forum Bruce, I'll try to answer your question. First you can't use the USPS to mail a snake some reptiles can be mailed but not snakes it is illegal and a federal crime to do so. You'd have to use UPS, FedEx ,DHL or one of the airlines. The problem with that is you have to be an approved shipper which takes time. Your best bet is for your friend to try to get a local pet or herp shop to ship the snake for him. You might have to pay them a few extra bucks to do it but it would be easiest. Or you might find someone else who is into the hobby who is approved to ship, to do it for you. As to how and what to use to pack the animal I believe there is a forum on this site that can answer those questions for you. Hope this helped. Randy

Randy, thanks so very much. You have been extremely helpful. I had no idea where to even start. Now I have some ammo, at least enough to get started. I really want one of these babies, they are just gorgeous. They are Columbian rainbows. The guy sent me some pics if you want me to send some to you. Let me know. Again, I cant tell you how much you have helped. Thanks, I owe ya one buddy......Bruce
